Everybody wants to know if they are with somebody who really cares about them. There are so many things a man will do to show you that his heart is in the right place, and not all of them can be listed here. Love isn’t a checklist, so if he isn’t doing some of the things on this list that doesn’t necessarily mean he doesn’t love you, either. But if you seem him showing these behaviours, you can almost guarantee his feelings are sincere.
- He Says He Loves You – This one might sound pretty obvious, but not all men will even be willing to say these words. If he says them when you aren’t expecting it, and without any obvious ulterior motive, there is a good chance he means it. If you are always the one to say it first, or if he only says it right before trying to get “intimate,” that’s another story.
- He Comforts You When You Are Down – What does he do when you are having a bad day, when things seem hopeless, or even when you are a little cranky? Does he try to comfort you, or does he ignore you or rub it in your face? You can’t always rely on a man to make you feel better (that’s as much up to you as it is to him), but you should at least be able to rely on him to try.
- He Looks You in the Eyes – If you are trying to have a conversation with him, your man should look you in the eyes. No, he shouldn’t take his eyes off the road, nor does he need to turn his head and look at you every time you make a remark while watching television. But if he isn’t looking you in the eyes when you are having an important conversation, his mind is on something else.
- He Touches You – The key here is that he touches you even when there is no chance he is going to have sex with you. Casual touch is a key sign that he really appreciates you and wants you to stay in his life for good. This will vary based on his personality, of course. Some men will casually touch almost everybody around them, while others won’t even hug their mother.
- His Presents are Heartfelt – Expensive presents tell you that a man has a lot of money, not that he cares about you. You should be paying more attention to what he does with what he has. Does he buy you things because you asked for them, because it’s a specific day of the year, or because he wants to? Does the present show you that he is paying attention to your wants and needs, or is he just going through the motions?
- You Feel Special With Him – Does he say things that make you feel appreciated, special, and confident? Your man should want to build you up, not tear you down. It’s not that he should be doing these things all the time, it’s that he should do them on his own, without prompting.
